Moeve Verifies Global Low-Carbon Chemical Network

Moeve Chemicals has completed third-party verification of its entire global manufacturing network for the production of lower-carbon chemical products.

The process concluded with verification of the company’s facilities in Brazil and Shanghai. Every Moeve Chemicals production plant can now manufacture and supply products within its Low Carbon portfolio.

The expanded coverage gives multinational customers access to verified products across several regions. It also aims to help them reduce value-chain emissions without changing the quality or performance of their chemical inputs.

Lower-carbon inputs for industrial supply chains

Moeve Chemicals developed its Low Carbon portfolio to provide alternatives to conventional chemical products with a reduced carbon footprint.

The portfolio includes NextLab Low Carbon, a lower-carbon version of linear alkylbenzene, or LAB. The chemical is a key raw material in the production of biodegradable detergents.

It also includes NextPhenol Low Carbon. This product provides a lower-carbon alternative to phenol and related derivatives.

Phenol is widely used in resins, adhesives and insulation materials. It also supports manufacturing processes across the automotive and construction industries.

As a result, the verification has implications beyond Moeve Chemicals’ direct operations. Customers can use the products to address emissions embedded within purchased goods and materials.

These indirect emissions often sit within Scope 3 inventories. They can be difficult to reduce because companies depend on suppliers for product-level data and lower-carbon alternatives.

The availability of verified chemical inputs across Moeve’s network could support more consistent procurement strategies. It may also help global customers avoid sourcing different product specifications across regional markets.

AENOR validates traceability system

AENOR, the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification, carried out the verification process.

The assessment is supported by Moeve Chemicals’ proprietary internal verification system. The company developed the system to manage renewable energy attributes across its operations.

It is designed to provide transparency, traceability and consistency in how those attributes are allocated to Low Carbon products.

This detail is important for corporate buyers. Environmental claims linked to industrial materials face growing scrutiny from regulators, investors and customers.

Companies increasingly need evidence that product-level carbon reductions are supported by credible data. They must also show that energy claims are managed consistently across sites and markets.

This trend is particularly relevant in sectors exposed to carbon pricing, product standards and mandatory sustainability reporting. It also matters for companies with science-based targets that depend heavily on supplier engagement.

Moeve Chemicals said its lower-carbon products retain the quality, reliability and performance standards of conventional alternatives. That could reduce technical barriers for customers considering a switch.

The global verification also gives Moeve greater consistency when responding to tenders from multinational companies. Buyers can potentially source the same verified product range across several manufacturing regions.
