Isometric Raises $50 Million Series A With ICE Backing
  • Intercontinental Exchange has joined Isometric’s Series A, taking the funding round to $50 million and total capital raised to $75 million.
  • Isometric has been contracted to certify more than 16 million tonnes of carbon removal and now covers emissions, energy, fuels and materials.
  • The investment brings together ICE’s global market infrastructure expertise and Isometric’s AI-powered certification platform as industrial demand for verified sustainability claims grows.

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) operator of the New York Stock Exchange, has invested in certification platform Isometric as its Series A reaches $50 million.

ICE joined the financing round that Isometric initially announced in June 2026. The addition of ICE and other new investors brings Isometric’s total funding across its seed and Series A rounds to $75 million.

The investment connects two companies operating on different sides of market infrastructure. ICE has spent decades building systems for global financial, energy and environmental markets. Isometric is developing certification infrastructure designed to verify claims across the industrial economy.

Certification moves deeper into industrial markets

Industrial investment is accelerating across electrification, automation, decarbonization and data center infrastructure. Those projects increasingly face demands to demonstrate compliance with regulatory, safety and sustainability requirements.

For developers, certification can affect access to buyers, capital and permits. For investors and corporate customers, it provides evidence behind claims that can otherwise be difficult to independently assess.

Isometric’s Certify platform uses artificial intelligence alongside independent verifiers to examine the data supporting those claims. The company says the process can reduce certification timelines from months to hours.

“Isometric certifies the claims that customers, investors, and regulators rely on but can’t check for themselves. Our AI-powered platform, Certify, works with independent verifiers to check every data point behind a claim, in hours rather than months. This is how we turn unverified claims into verified assets.”

The model is particularly relevant as companies face greater scrutiny over climate disclosures and environmental claims. Regulators, investors and procurement teams increasingly want evidence that can withstand independent review.

Carbon removal provides the proving ground

Isometric first built its certification model around carbon removal. The company says it has now been contracted to certify more than 16 million tonnes, making it the largest certifier globally by contracted volume.

Its activities have since expanded into industrial emissions, energy, fuels and materials.

More than 200 projects now use Isometric’s certification infrastructure. Its customers include Microsoft, Anglo American, Boeing and JPMorgan Chase.

That expansion places certification closer to the financial infrastructure supporting industrial decarbonization. Verified environmental attributes can influence procurement decisions, project financing and corporate climate accounting.

For carbon markets, credible certification also remains central to market integrity. Buyers need confidence that claimed removals or emissions reductions are backed by robust methodologies and independently verified data.

ICE operates some of the world’s largest financial and commodity markets, including environmental and energy markets. Its investment gives Isometric a strategic backer with experience managing market data, trading infrastructure and complex financial systems.

Isometric plans to use the Series A capital to accelerate its expansion across the industrial economy. The company is positioning its technology as infrastructure for verifying increasingly complex environmental and industrial claims.

“With ICE as an investor, we’ll accelerate our expansion across the industrial economy, combining agentic certification with global market infrastructure and data expertise.”

For executives and investors, the deal points to a broader shift in climate and industrial markets. Verification is moving beyond a compliance exercise and becoming part of the infrastructure needed to finance and transact around low-carbon assets.

As capital flows into data centers, clean energy, advanced fuels and industrial decarbonization, the quality of underlying sustainability data will carry greater financial weight.

ICE’s entry into Isometric’s investor base brings traditional market infrastructure closer to that emerging certification layer. If industrial environmental claims increasingly function as financial assets, the systems used to verify them could become as important as the markets where those assets are ultimately traded.
