- The partnership targets a growing governance challenge as AI adoption expands and property owners demand traceable, secure and verifiable ESG data.
Measurabl and Inveniam have formed a strategic partnership to build more verifiable sustainability data infrastructure for commercial real estate.
The companies will combine Measurabl’s sustainability platform with Inveniam’s data infrastructure and document intelligence technology. Their goal is to turn fragmented property information into data that can be traced, verified and used across investment and operational decisions.
The partnership comes as sustainability information becomes more closely tied to financing, insurance, regulatory compliance and asset valuations. It also addresses a growing concern for companies deploying artificial intelligence across real estate workflows: whether the underlying data can be trusted.
Fragmented property data creates a governance challenge
Measurabl tracks more than 28 billion square feet of real estate across 97 countries. Inveniam, meanwhile, tracks more than $200 billion in credentialed private market assets. Its technology is backed by more than 90 U.S. patents.
Together, the platforms will seek to improve data quality, expand available sustainability datasets and reduce manual processing. Customers will also be able to benchmark portfolios while strengthening data governance.
“One of my first priorities as CEO was to spend time listening to customers. Across every market, I heard the same message: they need more quality data, greater automation, and measurable business outcomes,” said Maureen Waters, CEO of Measurabl. “This partnership with Inveniam is a direct response to what our customers told us. By combining the strengths of our two platforms, we’re helping our customers transform fragmented sustainability information into trusted, secure, and connected data that remains under their ownership and control, enabling better business decisions today while creating the foundation for intelligent automation and AI.”
The challenge is particularly acute in commercial property. Sustainability information can sit across utility bills, leases, engineering reports, appraisals, loan documents and regulatory filings.
Utility data alone can involve more than 10,000 providers globally. Each can use different billing practices, formats and reporting conventions.

Document intelligence targets inaccessible ESG data
Under the partnership, Inveniam will digitize and structure information from multiple sources. The data will then integrate with Measurabl’s sustainability platform for benchmarking, reporting and analysis.
A central part of the system is Inveniam’s document intelligence capability, developed with Docugami. The technology uses Document Graph Markup Language, or DGML, to convert complex documents into structured, machine-readable information.
Individual data points can then be cryptographically anchored to Inveniam’s NVNM permissioned blockchain. Authorized users can trace information back to its original source and independently verify it.
The companies say customers will retain ownership and control of their data. Access can also be permissioned, an increasingly important issue as businesses connect proprietary information with AI systems.
“The most valuable information in commercial real estate has always lived inside documents,” said Patrick O’Meara, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Inveniam. “Together with Measurabl, we’re helping customers transform fragmented information into verifiable sustainability data that supports better business decisions while creating the data infrastructure needed for the future of intelligent real estate. By combining document intelligence with the NVNM permissioned blockchain, we’re giving customers a way to securely leverage AI without giving up ownership or control of their data.”
AI raises the stakes for trusted sustainability information
For property owners and investors, the value proposition extends beyond ESG disclosure. Better structured information can support underwriting, asset management, insurance and capital allocation.
The governance implications are also becoming more significant. As sustainability reporting becomes more integrated with financial decision-making, companies need stronger controls over how data is sourced, modified and shared.
That pressure is rising alongside AI adoption. According to figures cited by the companies, 96% of commercial real estate professionals are using AI, while 51% identify trust as a barrier to broader adoption.
For C-suite executives and investors, that places data architecture closer to the centre of ESG strategy. Sustainability information increasingly needs to withstand scrutiny from lenders, regulators, auditors and investment committees.
The Measurabl-Inveniam partnership reflects that shift. As commercial real estate digitizes, the competitive advantage may depend not only on having more sustainability data, but on proving where that data came from and who controls it.
