UK-based sustainability-focused consulting firm SLR announced today the acquisition of sustainability consulting, software and ESG data solutions provider WAP Sustainability.

Founded by William Paddock and Brad McAllister in 2009, Nashville-based WAP Sustainability provides a range of technical and strategic services aimed at helping companies to meet their sustainability goals, with a strong focus on product sustainability. WAP’s focus areas include life cycle assessment, environmental product declarations, carbon accounting, and ESG advisory services, with clients across the building product, packaging, textiles, electronics, and consumer goods sectors.

William Paddock, WAP Sustainability Co-Founder and CEO, said:

“WAP Sustainability has always been about doing the work the right way, built on trust, relationships, and a level of care that clients and teammates can feel. SLR shares that vision and values, making them the right fit to help us expand our impact without losing who we are.”

Paddock added that the transaction will provide “access to deeper resources, broader teams, and global expertise, opening the door to larger, more complex projects and new opportunities.”

According to SLR, the new acquisition will enhance its own access to high-growth markets, a blue-chip client base, and a scalable model aligned with global sustainability megatrends, with the firm noting that WAP’s capabilities support some of the fastest-growing areas of the sustainability consulting market.

Ben Shields, SLR Executive Director, Advisory, said:

“WAP Sustainability’s mission to Accelerate Sustainability Through Relationships perfectly complements SLR’s commitment to Making Sustainability Happen. Together, we share a clear vision for driving meaningful and impactful change for our clients and the communities we serve. This acquisition strengthens our ability to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions and positions us to lead in a rapidly evolving sustainability landscape.”
